Carrer Balmes amb Consell de Cent i Ronda Sant Antoni. Urbanism.

 

The essence of Cerdà's expansion is, rather than the reticular repetition of the city blocks, the "xamfrà". This project is about exploring the potential of this peculiar corners, and realising how modifing one xamfrà can have an impact on the whole city net, and this will requier a resolution that will work at a larger scale. In this case we worked on a structure used both as a densifier on the roofs with potential, and as a multifunctional space down at the street.
